The Valley of the Moon Scottish Fiddling School in the northern California redwoods invites you to a week of intensive study, recreation, and good times with people who share an interest in the music and dance traditions of Scotland. Join us for this exciting evening of fiddling fever. With more than 150 enthusiastic musicians ranging in age from 7 to 70, this concert will enliven your heart with rousing strathspeys, reels, jigs, and more. This year we present our 27th annual concert, the zenith for the week-long Valley of the Moon Scottish Fiddling School, held at Camp Campbell in Boulder Creek, sponsored by the Scottish Fiddlers of California, and directed by Indie Award winning recording artist, Scots fiddler Alasdair Fraser. This year, we are thrilled to present fiddlers Darol Anger and Kimberley Fraser and cellist Natalie Haas, along with a host of other wonderful musicians, singers, and dancers.

Alasdair Fraser, Director of the camp, is in demand as a concert artist, dance fiddler and fiddle teacher throughout his native Scotland and the United States. 'Artist in Residence' at the prestigious Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow for the past several years, he excels in expressing the beauty and energy of traditional Scottish fiddling and in creating exciting new music that remains rooted in tradition.

Join us in the beautiful setting of Camp Campbell in the Santa Cruz mountains, where fiddlers of all ages and levels of musical experience choose from daily workshops on Scottish and related fiddle styles. Additional classes are offered in dancing and singing, as well as piano, guitar, cello and percussion
